What is the Merchant Certified Program?
After becoming an approved member you are enrolled in our Merchant Certified
Seal of Approval program where you can post our Merchant Certified Seal
of Approval on your wesite. This seal will ensure your visitors that
not only is the site a credible company but it will also instill trust
in the customer which will ultimately result in increased sales.
What does the Merchant Certified Seal of Approval look like?
After being approved for membership you may post the seal on your website.

What if the seal is too big may I resize it?
You may resize the seal to suit your needs. Resizing is the only change
allowed to the seal without approval. Any other changes must be approved
by IBCIM.ORG. Please contact us for this approval.
What are the requirements to participate?
To become a member a company will be reviewed and must meet all the
IBCIM.ORG membership requirements. Please click

Where can I get a privacy policy?
You can easily obtain a privacy policy from The Direct Marketing Association by filling
out a simple web form with basic questions and a full privacy policy
is instantly created for you. Privacy policies are standard requirements
for all internet merchants in today's internet environment.

How do I join?
Simply fill out the form on the Register page
and we will review your site for approval. If you do not meet our membership
requirements you will be notified by email and given the opportunity
to re-apply after you have made arrangements to meet all of our requirements.
No payment is required to register. Payment will only be required after
membership requirements have been verified by IBCIM.ORG.
May I use the membership for multiple websites?
Membership in IBCIM.ORG and the Merchant Certified seal of approval
is for one website only. Multiple websites requires separate accounts
as a separate review of the site must take place. Please contact us in
reference to prices for multiple sites.
What are the benefits to my company of becoming a member?
The main benefit to your company is the impression that you first establish
with your customers. The Merchant Certified seal will instill trust
in your customers which will ultimately result in higher sales. Furthermore,
your visitors will instantly gain the knowlegde that they are dealing
with a customer service reviewed and approved site.
What are the benefits to my customers?
Your customers main benefit comes from IBCIM.ORG being a third party
that has reviewed and verified that you are operating a credible business
which is dedicated to customer service. In addition, IBCIM.ORG will
act on a request basis as another avenue for dispute resolution.
What are my obligations as a member?
Your initial obligations are that you need to meet all membership requirements.
Secondly you must display the Merchant Certified seal on your site.
Thirdly, you must respond to any correspondence from IBCIM.ORG and respond
to mediation if the situation occurs. Participation in the mediation
process is strictly voluntary but highly recommended. See below for
more information about mediation. Any member can cancel their membership
with immediate notice and not have any further obligatons to IBCIM.ORG
or its customers.
How much is a membership?
Membership in IBCIM.ORG is US$29.95 annually. Membership fee is billed
annually. No payment required to register. Payment will only be required
after membership requirements have been verified by IBCIM.ORG.
What payments do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards and PayPal.
What kind of complaints do you accept?
IBCIM.ORG will only accept legitimate and reasonable complaints. No
complaints containing foul and unprofessional language will be accepted.
No complaints containing unreasonable requests from a merchant will
be accepted. Furthermore, any complainee will be asked if they have
exhausted all avenues with the merchant before filing the complaint.
What happens if someone files a complaint?
First the complainee will be asked to settle the issue with the merchant.
If the merchant is non-responsive or the issue is not settled the complainee
may file a complaint providing that it is legitimate and reasonable.
The merchant will be notified and given an opportunity to respond to
IBCIM.ORG. Any participation of any kind of mediation between merchants
and consumers is voluntary. The final decision will always be made by
the merchant. IBCIM.ORG reserve the right to cancel the merchant membership
in case of gross neglect of customer service rules and IBCIM.ORG membership
requirements. This will only be done as a last resort.
How can I find out how many complaints I have?
Every time a complaint is filed the merchant will be informed of the
situation.
What countries can participate in the Merchant Certified program?
IBCIM.ORG is a global organization and accepts members from all nations.
How do I make changes to my account?
You can change your account details after you Login to your account.
Certain details are specific to each account
and may not be changed such as the company web address.
How do I cancel my membership?
You may cancel your membership at any time by logging into your account.
What does mediation involve?
Mediation simply means that you are obligated to respond to any request
from IBCIM.ORG to deal with a complaint. It does not mean that you have
to abide by any complaint or request from the consumer. The ultimate
decision will be made by you. Any merchant is strongly recommended to
participate and to seek a satisfactory resolution.
What are my obligations in the mediation process?
Your only obligation is to participate. You are however strongly encouraged
to resolve the situation with any means possible.
